Not just a trained dog but a capable handler is just as important. I have a well trained service dog but I don't have the same confidence or ability as the guy in the video to bring my boy into the dog park where fights happen all the time. I always advocate for my boy but dog park with many untrained off leash dogs is a whole different ball game! I would try it though if I was better at reading dog body language.

Beautiful dog and well trained. I do have to say that dog breeds differ greatly in their desire to do things like this. Malinois is one that is motivated to obey these commands. Hounds on the other hand may not be.

Not everyone wants to be around a dog while they’re shopping. This man obviously has control over that animal but the majority of folks who bring theirs into stores do not.

I have trained a lot of gun dogs very successfully and I am diametrically opposed to treat training. I'm very aware that it's a shortcut that is very effective. Bribery is always successful but then you create a dog that is a slave to it for the rest of his life. This is a mistake unless I suppose you're a housewife that has an ankle biter dog that just wants to go around the block without embarrassing her in which case that's fine. Anything else this is completely unacceptable.

It's how i trained my service dog. We call it desensitization, and it works great! All those people and noises and smells can overwhelm a dog. Your puppy is so adorable! Love the ears.😊
